We experienced some chilly temperatures last night! International Falls even dropped into the low 20s, but thankfully the majority of southeast Minnesota and northeast Iowa managed to remain in the 40s.
There is a silver lining to the cold temperatures: chilly nights without frost combined with warm, sunny days makes for beautiful fall colors! We've started to see some pops of color around our region, but we'll most likely have to wait a few more weeks before we get to enjoy peak autumn beauty.
We'll have more fall-color-making conditions for the next few days as temperatures stay in the 60s with lots of sunshine and chilly, clear nights. As we approach next week temperatures will slowly rebound to the low 70s and eventually mid 70s! Zero rain chances for the next 7 days so make sure you're giving your fall garden some extra water!
