ROCHESTER, Minn. (FOX47) — Rochester Public Utilities announced new help for small business owners struggling to pay their utility bills.
An additional $250,000 in funding for the city of Rochester is now available. The money comes from the Federal Coronavirus Relief Fund, which was established by the CARES Act.
The money can be used to pay for utility bills from the beginning of March through the end of the year.
RPU has already received $500,000 from the city for this program. The new funding comes on top of that.
RPU said it has already helped 363 business locations that have been impacted by the pandemic.
