Rochester man pleads guilty to murder nearly one year after shooting

ROCHESTER, Minn. (FOX47) – Nearly one year after being accused of murder, a Rochester man pleaded guilty on Friday morning.

Nineteen-year-old Robert Salley Jr. has pleaded guilty to 2nd degree murder in the death of 24-year-old Trevor Boysen.

Police said Salley Jr. shot and killed Boysen during a drug deal. According to court documents, it was over $70 worth of marijuana. Last January, officers found Boysen with gunshot wounds in the parking lot of the Quarters Apartment Complex.

Surveillance video showed Salley Jr. getting into Boysen’s car, leaving the vehicle, and firing a gun at the car.

Boysen’s body was later found behind the vehicle.
