Mild and early spring-like this week

Ted 7 Day Fox

A very mild Tuesday

Warm air continues to flow into the region today ahead of yet another clipper-type storm system approaches from the northwest. We'll have cool sunshine this morning with increasing cloud cover in the midday and afternoon. High temperatures will be in the upper 30s with a slight southwest breeze.

Just as experienced on Monday night, we'll have some light rain and sprinkles this evening with a few flurries posibly mixing in as well with the arrival of that clipper-type storm system. Overnight temperatures will fall off into the upper 20s with breaks in the clouds later in the night and a brisk west breeze.

A bright, cooler midweek

High pressure will settle into the region Wednesday, bringing bright and seasonably cool weather to the area. We'll have mostly sunny skies through most of the day with a brisk northwest breeze that will occasionally reach 20 miles per hour, adding a chill to the air. High temperatures tomorrow afternoon will be in the lower 30s which is typical for this time of the year.

A weak disturbance will bring a few snow flurries late Wednesday night with overnight temperatures in the lower 20s. Behind that, we'll have abundant sunshine and high temperatures in the upper 20s for Thursday.

An unsettled weekend

Gusty south winds will usher in much warmer air for Friday, working with a fair amount of sunshine to help temperatures reach the mid and upper 30s. A clipper-type storm system will bring a chance of light snow late Friday night, perhaps leading to a minor coating of accumulation.

We'll have occasional sunshine Saturday with a few sprinkles and scattered snow showers possible as another storm system approaches from the west. High temperatures will be in the mid-30s Saturday afternoon. A few more doses of light snow showers will be possible on Sunday with breaks of sunshine and high temperatures will be in the upper 20s. At this point, only a minor coating of snowfall appears likely with this storm system.

Slow warm-up next week

Cold, dry high pressure will move in for next Monday, bringing sunshine and high temperatures in the mid-20s to start the month of March.

A weak storm system will graze the area to the south Tuesday, bringing a small chance for light snow to the area with high temperatures in the mid-20s.

Warmer air will build in for the mid and latter portions of next week and high temperatures will climb toward the upper 30s to upper 40s.
