Breezy and cold today
Cold air is pouring into the region today in the wake of a potent cold front that swept through the Upper Mississippi Valley Sunday night, setting the stage for a chilly, raw, and unsettled Monday in the area. We'll have mostly cloudy skies throughout the day with a few breaks of sunshine possible and then some spotty, light showers in the mid and late afternoon hours. High temperatures will be in the lower 40s which is about 20 degrees below the seasonal average. Those nasty northwest winds that will be reaching 20 miles per hour at times will keep wind chill values in the 20s to lower 30s.

We're going to enjoy a little more sunshine during the day Tuesday, but once again a few isolated rain showers will likely develop in the afternoon and early evening. High temperatures will be in the lower 40s with a slight northwest breeze that will occasionally reach 15 miles per hour.
Still cool Wednesday

We'll have lighter winds and a fair amount of sunshine during the day, but temperatures will still be on the cool side with morning lows in the mid-20s and afternoon high temperatures only in the low to mid-40s.
Late Week Warm-Up
Warmer air will flow into the region Thursday while skies will again be generally sunny, helping temperatures warm into the more seasonable upper 50s.
