Cool temperatures bring frost potential tonight

Clear skies and light winds tonight will allow temperatures to drop into the mid to low 30s across the region, bringing the potential for frost development. Goodhue and Wabasha counties will be in a frost advisory after midnight tonight, but the rest of the region could see some patchy areas of frost.

If you took advantage of the warmth this weekend to get some planting done, you'll want to make sure your plants are either cold-hardy or bring them inside tonight if possible.

Cooler than usual temperatures will continue for Wednesday. Skies will start off sunny before building clouds in for the afternoon. We'll work in a chance for scattered showers during the evening and overnight hours.

Temperatures will stay in the mid to upper 50s through the rest of the week, areas to the south of I-90 may have a shot at some lower 60s. A cool Mother's Day on the way for Sunday with a chance for scattered showers during the morning.
