Minnesota State Fair announces 5-day ‘Kickoff to Summer’ event in May

ST. PAUL, Minn. (FOX47) — The Minnesota State Fair has announced a five-day event in May that will feature food, live music and a variety of other activities.

The “Kickoff to Summer at the Fair” will take place from May 27 through May 31 at the State Fairgrounds, according to an announcement the fair made on Tuesday.

The news release notes that tickets are $12.50 each and free for children ages 4 and younger. There is a cap of 10,000 tickets for each time slot, in accordance with the current event capacity guidelines in Minnesota. Tickets will also be sold through a lottery process, so guests who register in advance can be randomly selected to purchase them. Find out how to register here.

  • Thursday, May 27, 4 to 9 p.m.
  • Friday, May 28, 4 to 9 p.m.
  • Saturday, May 29, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Saturday, May 29, 4 to 9 p.m.
  • Sunday, May 30, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Sunday, May 30, 4 to 9 p.m.
  • Monday, May 31, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The State Fair lists a variety of games, merchandise offerings and food vendors that will be at the event on its website.
