If today wasn't hot enough for you, more heat is on the way tomorrow! A Heat Advisory is in effect for all of southeast Minnesota and northeast Iowa for Wednesday. Actual temperatures will be in the low to mid-90s, with heat indices likely reaching the triple digits by the afternoon. Make sure to stay hydrated and keep yourself and those around you safe in the heat tomorrow!
In addition to Wednesday's heat, we'll also see the chance for a few storms. Our severe risk has gradually shifted further east into Wisconsin, so we have a lower chance of seeing strong storms tomorrow. Overall, our rain/storm chance still isn't looking too great so any severe activity will be highly isolated tomorrow.
I think our best chance for a bit of rain will be through the morning hours. We could hear a few rumbles of thunder but our severe threat should be minimal for the morning. During the evening, strong storms will likely develop to the east of the Mississippi River and most of us will likely stay dry. It's possible that a stray storm nears Winona or Wabasha after 7 pm.
Thankfully, our temperatures will be on the decline after the storms. We'll welcome temperatures in the low 80s for the rest of the week with much lower humidity levels. We could even see some overnight temperatures in the upper 50s! Rain chances will remain minimal after tomorrow's rain chance.
