NEAR LAKE CITY, Minn. (FOX 47) – A dairy farm outside of Lake City gets the go ahead from the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency to expand.
Scotch Prairie Farms wants to triple its current herd size and they are one step closer to doing so.
The state has said no to doing an environmental impact study, which let the MPCA approve an individual permit for the expansion.
But before the farm can move on, it will still need to get a conditional permit from Wabasha County and a water appropriation permit from the DNR.
The public did get a chance to comment on the expansion back in September.
