We managed some light rain this morning with cloud cover that lasted throughout the afternoon. Clouds will begin to clear this evening and gradually become clear overnight. Temperatures will be mild in the mid and upper 50s with light southwest winds.
Sunny skies arrive in the region Saturday and will likely last into Sunday with high pressure in control of the region. Temperatures will be seasonal this weekend in the low to mid 70s. Enjoy the dry and sunny weather while you can, as rain chances move back in late Sunday night into the first half of the work week.
Anticipate on a soggy Memorial Day this year as scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible throughout much of the day with the possibility of heavy rain. Winds will be breezy out of the southeast with afternoon highs in the lower 70s. Scattered showers and thunderstorms look to last into Tuesday and most of Wednesday with highs in the upper 60s and breezy winds.
Temperatures cool slightly into the mid 60s on Thursday with partly sunny skies, giving us a short break from the precipitation. By Friday, additional rain chances may be possible in the afternoon.
