Three people escape before train hits vehicle on railroad crossing

NEAR KASSON, Minn. (FOX47) -- A close call this morning in Dodge County -- three people escaped after their vehicle got stuck on a railroad crossing.

Dodge County Sheriff's deputies said a black sedan was trapped on a snow bank around 3 Tuesday morning. The driver was unable to move the vehicle, as the wheels were buried into the snow.

This railroad crossing is in the area of Highway 14 at 220th Avenue.

Deputies said all three passengers were able to exit before the Canadian Pacific Train with four locomotives struck the sedan.

Nobody was hurt.
