Despite the clouds today, hopefully you were able to get outside and enjoy the dry weather as it's the last we'll see for the next couple days. A few stay showers could move through overnight tonight but the majority of the upcoming rain will hold off until after noon tomorrow.
Widespread rain will move in during the early afternoon, lasting until eight to 9 o'clock. The heaviest rain is expected along I-90, accumulations will range from a quarter inch to half an inch across the region.
More scattered showers are on the way for Thursday afternoon and Friday night, but much lighter accumulations are expected. Temperatures will be a bit up and down towards the end of the week, but we'll gradually warm towards 50 by Sunday.
The next system that we're keeping an eye on seems to be trending northward into Iowa and Minnesota. Just 24 hours ago its track brought it to the south of our region, giving us a dry weekend. However, that northerly shift could bring some heavy rainfall on Saturday. We'll continue to track that system as it grows closer.
