Flurries through the day today laid down another light dusting of fluffy snow across the region. We're a little over halfway through the winter season, and we've seen about half of our annual snowfall so far.
However, the snowiest months are behind us! That means we'll either be picking up above more snowfall than normal through April, or we'll have a less snowy season than usual.
Some light flurries will linger through the night tonight, accumulations remaining minimal. Our next best chance for accumulating snowfall is still on Sunday. There are some uncertainties with this system that's still a few days out, but an inch or so is looking likely at this point.
Temperatures will continue to increase through the rest of the week and into the weekend. Warmer temperatures on Sunday could make travel a bit slick with snow on the roadways. Then we'll be nearing 40 by Tuesday! Enjoy the well-deserved warm-up!
